Mission: Promoting self help amongst rural youth, elderly, and the destitute in order to bring about a sustainable livelihood through domesticated farm animals and their products, and the management and control of stray dogs.Activities: We work in the tribal region of Jharkhand State in India. Khunti is one of the blocks in Ranchi District. This Block covers 144 villages. the growing population does not have many opportunities for survival. Most of the population is surviving through engaging themselves in burglary, theft, killing and also joining insurgent groups Many young male-female members of the family are migrating from this region in search of jobs and survival. In this group children below 18 years are also forced to work as labour or household workers. Many of them are badly exploited. Child abuse is common for this group. According to the survey approximately 70,000 population is migrating from the region. In Khunti Block alone more than 600 children were migrated in year 2003. (In Ranchi District there are around 22 Blocks). When these children and young people return home, they bring worries - health diseases like AIDS, STD, TB, etc.AFFILIATION REQUIRED: A Doctor or equivalent to provide free treatment/ check - ups for the region at our centre.Skill: GeneralLanguage: HindiACCOMMODATIONS: Yes, we can provide Accommodation but meals we can not
